AI visibility is a young category with no universally accepted scoring system.

Different platforms use different prompts, models, locations, execution frequencies and proprietary metrics. AI-generated answers can also vary between repeated runs.

For that reason, iGaming AI Search does not treat a single visibility score or one ChatGPT screenshot as definitive evidence.

Our methodology focuses on transparent, repeatable and iGaming-relevant evaluation.

Our Core Principles

Our editorial methodology is based on five principles:

Relevance – does the product solve a real iGaming problem?

Evidence – can important claims be verified?

Transparency – do we explain what we tested and what came from the vendor?

Repeatability – could the same test reasonably be repeated?

Commercial independence – affiliate relationships do not determine our conclusions.

How We Evaluate AI Visibility Software

Our software evaluation framework may include the following areas.

AI Platform Coverage

We look at which environments the tool monitors, potentially including:

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and other relevant platforms.

More platforms do not automatically mean a better product.

We also consider whether the implementation is actually useful.

Prompt Tracking

We examine factors such as:

  • prompt allowance;
  • execution frequency;
  • historical data;
  • prompt grouping;
  • importing and exporting prompts;
  • discovery of new prompts;
  • cost of monitoring at scale.

This becomes particularly important for operators working across many countries and languages.

Geographic Tracking

iGaming is highly location-dependent.

Where supported, we examine whether a tool allows users to distinguish results between different countries or regions and how those controls affect pricing and prompt usage.

Language Support

For international operators and affiliates, multilingual monitoring can be essential.

We therefore consider whether a platform can realistically support different languages rather than merely accepting non-English text.

Citations

Where available, we examine:

  • cited domains;
  • cited URLs;
  • source frequency;
  • competitor citation analysis;
  • historical citation changes.

Citation analysis can be particularly valuable to iGaming SEO and digital PR teams.

Competitor Analysis

Useful AI visibility software should help explain not only whether a brand appears, but who appears instead.

We may evaluate:

share of voice, competitor mentions, prompt gaps and comparative visibility.

Sentiment and Brand Accuracy

A brand mention is not always positive.

We look at whether platforms can reveal how a company is described and whether potentially inaccurate or outdated information is being surfaced.

Reporting and Agency Features

Depending on the intended customer, we may consider:

multiple projects, user seats, exports, dashboards, API access, scheduled reports and client management.

Pricing and Value

We do not simply identify the cheapest plan.

We consider what is actually included at each level and how costs change when a business adds:

more prompts, more locations, additional AI engines, additional projects or additional users.

iGaming Suitability

This is one of our most important criteria.

We may test whether a platform can handle:

casino prompts, sportsbook prompts, affiliate queries, restricted-industry terminology, country-specific gambling questions and multilingual iGaming content.

Hands-On Testing

When we have personally tested a product, we aim to make that clear.

A future standardized tool test may include the same group of casino, sportsbook and affiliate prompts across several platforms.

Testing may examine:

  • whether the tool detects actual mentions;
  • whether citations match the underlying AI response;
  • geographic differences;
  • multilingual performance;
  • competitor identification;
  • data consistency;
  • usability;
  • reporting;
  • value for money.

Because AI answers can vary, we do not consider one execution sufficient for strong conclusions about visibility.

When We Have Not Tested a Product

Not every product listed on iGaming AI Search will have been purchased or independently tested immediately.

In those cases, we may still include it where it is relevant to the market.

We clearly distinguish editorial analysis based on publicly available information from hands-on testing.

We do not use phrases such as “we tested”, “our test showed” or “we experienced” unless that is genuinely the case.

How We Evaluate Agencies

AI Search agencies are evaluated differently from software companies.

Factors may include:

  • demonstrable iGaming experience;
  • clarity of GEO/AEO methodology;
  • AI visibility measurement;
  • citation analysis;
  • technical SEO;
  • content strategy;
  • digital PR;
  • international and multilingual capability;
  • case studies;
  • reporting;
  • pricing transparency;
  • unrealistic guarantees.

We are cautious about claims such as:

“Guaranteed #1 ChatGPT ranking.”

AI-generated answers do not behave like fixed conventional rankings.

Agency-Supplied Case Studies

Where an agency publishes results from its own clients, we may discuss those examples.

Unless we have independently verified the underlying data, we identify these as agency-supplied or self-reported results.

A case study published by a company about its own work is useful evidence, but it is not the same as independent validation.

How We Evaluate Pricing

Prices can change quickly.

We aim to:

  • record the date checked;
  • identify whether billing is monthly or annual;
  • distinguish entry pricing from enterprise pricing;
  • explain important limits;
  • avoid presenting temporary promotions as permanent prices.

Readers should still confirm current pricing directly with the provider before purchasing.

How Rankings Are Determined

Where we publish ranked lists, positions may reflect a combination of:

  • suitability for the particular use case;
  • product capabilities;
  • price/value;
  • iGaming relevance;
  • testing results where available;
  • transparency;
  • limitations.

Commission rates do not determine rankings.

In some cases, we intentionally avoid numbered rankings altogether and instead identify products as:

Best for affiliates

Best for enterprise

Best for agencies

Best for multi-market monitoring

This can be more useful than pretending one product is universally best.

Research Methodology

For original studies such as the future iGaming AI Visibility Index, each publication should include its own methodology.

Depending on the project, we may disclose:

  • platforms tested;
  • prompts used;
  • prompt categories;
  • dates;
  • countries;
  • languages;
  • number of executions;
  • brands monitored;
  • scoring formula;
  • known limitations.

We aim to preserve enough methodological detail for readers to understand what the results actually measure.

Commercial Relationships

Affiliate commissions, referral fees and sponsorships help fund iGaming AI Search.

They do not change our stated methodology.

Updates

Tools and services change frequently.

Reviews and comparisons may therefore be updated when:

pricing changes, features are added or removed, supported AI engines change, we complete additional testing, or we identify important factual errors.
